"XXYYXX" by XXYYXX

The 27th of this month the album “XXYYXX” by XXYYXX is going onto its four year anniversary. This electronic musician known as Marcel Everett released this relaxed-beat album when he was only sixteen years old. Its starts off with “About You”,  a mellowed out rhythm feeling like you're in another universe.

He uses Zircon/Jillian Aversa's "Just Hold On" with his own twist by reversing and slowing it down for the intro. The beginning already blasts you off to the whole aura of this particular piece. By the middle mark in “Breeze” we noticed how this indie cultured artist has changed the progression but still has the same sense. You get a feel that you’ve traveled to many galaxies by just one sitting. The ending song “Overdone” ft. Anneka, starts off sounding muffled but carries repeating “uh-uuh” it then releases with an elasticity beat that follows it. The remaining song goes onto its peak and you can already guess the euphonious tone grabbing onto you. Any of Marcel's works have a thin line of resemblance but are on their own state of mind.
