How to Fight Senioritis
It's about that time of the year! With prom, graduation and the senior trips right around the corner, many 17 & 18 years old students have developed this sneaky little bug called Senioritis. Senioritis is widely recognized by lack of motivation, punctuality, and carelessness. With only a few months left of high school, there's so much stuff to do yet with so little time.
I know, parents and teachers alike are up your butt about getting in homework on time, filling out college applications, picking the right outfit (not to mention who you're going with) for prom. But be honest, all seniors have been over this year since December and are more than ready to leave.
While you may or may not be ready to be forced into the arms of adulthood, it's happening and its happening soon. But do not panic! Here are some tips that'll help you get your last minute assignments together, make these last few months somewhat more bearable and hopefully even keep you sane.

In no way, shape or form do your grades define you as a person. But if you're looking to go to college, they definitely do matter in an academic sense. If you've been doing great all year long, don't slack off at last minute because colleges do check final transcripts & may reconsider your acceptance.
1. Staying focused is a huge reason why so many seniors have senioritis to begin with. It's hard to stay focused when everything is going on in a frenzy. Take a calendar & write down every deadline on the corresponding dates. If you have more than 3 things planned for a day, ask for a different reschedule day.
2. Catch up on sleep! All those late nights you spent supposedly dedicated to your studies, you were really binge watching Netflix & on Snapchat at the same time. At some point, the workload will lighten up & you can get your beauty sleep.
3. Remember what you've worked hard (or maybe even slightly average) for. 12 long, difficult years have finally come down to this moment. It's up to you to bring it all on home. Don't let it go waste, go big or go home!
4. Relax and chill out! You've been hard at work for 12 years (too bad we don't get paid) and you deserve some fun, dammit! Take a few hours off, chill with some friends, take a bath, take a bath with your friends if you're all into that. Do whatever relaxes you, but doesn't endanger yourself or others! (NO DRINKING AND DRIVING)
5. Stay organized, take note of all assignments and exam dates & deadlines for the rest of the year, also well as extra-curricular activities. Map out blocks for studying, extra-curricular, etc. Don't forget to set up reminders so you won't forget your appointments! You may even need to pencil in a block for leisure time. Motivate yourself by planning something fun for your free time like catching up on a few episodes of some shows or giving yourself a spa day or anything else!
Let the countdown to the end of gross school lunches and annoying hall couples begin!
