Jahleel

Meet Jahleel, 18 year old from Queens, New York Raised in Los Angeles, California. He's been rapping since he was 10 and knew he wanted to be a rapper since the age of 14. It was nice meeting Jahleel as he talks to us about his experience in the studio.

"There was moments when I tried to sing, and my producer would literally stop the track basically telling me stick to rapping. After I recorded another song, I walked out of the booth and got introduced to Tupac's old manager Leila Steinberg. I've experienced random people coming to the studio and free-styling to the beat that I'm making a song to, so instead of me having a my session it turns to a whole freestyle session."

He was inspired to make his recent song "Homies" because he wanted to show everybody that whatever you're doing, bring those who supported you along with your success.

"It's a huge process because i want everything can sound right I tend to change my lyrics a lot until I find the right one. What helps me focus is always putting my phone airplane mode so I get no distractions, having the lights off, and just having the good studio vibe."

He just finished a song titled "Westside Vibe", currently getting mixed for his upcoming mixtape, "Hooligan" coming to us March 20th.

"I've been working on it since November, there's a couple a features on it, I put a lot of work into the ten tracks. The theme involves turning up and living life while you're young."

"I would like the people to know that as a artist, I'm pushing my self every day to get to the top quitting is not a option and I'm just trying to bring good vibes to the Westside."
