Meet the Amazing Artist Samantha Anne

I am Samantha Anne, a 16 year old high school student and aspiring artist in Las Vegas, Nevada. I attend a technical academy high school and major in medical. I find learning about the body very interesting, although my true passion is art.

    In my art, I am very inspired by the basic shapes. Something a lot of people don't pay attention to are the simple shapes and lines that can be hidden in a very complex images. A lot of things can be shown by a few strokes. Nature is another thing that I love. We recently put our old couches in the backyard, and I love to sit and look at the beautiful flowers and vines with their leaves. Being a medical major at my high school, I have lately been inspired by human anatomy, things like bones and muscles. I have been creating many ideas tying back to anatomy and will soon be doing some paintings with that theme. 

I use different mediums for my art, but I love painting the most. For me, using a brush is very calming and I can find myself painting for hours, not noticing the time go by. My style can change in my paintings depending on how i feel. I love to blend together oil paint, smoothing out the colors with my brush. But I also love the concept of doing what comes to mind and just making messy layers of paint as I go.

    I'm not sure what is in store for me in the future or what i should pursue as a career, but all I can hope is that I become successful at what I do.
