Cap 6 Pays Homage To A Classic 90’s Hit In New "Chocolate City” Video
TALLAHASSEE, FL - Paying homage to J.R. Swinga’s original 90's hit “Chocolate City” music video directed by Will Packer and Rob Hardy, also shot on the set of Florida A&M University, Cap 6 delivers a modern installment to this kick back HBCU anthem. Florida A&M University is the environment that helped shape and support Cap 6 as a group and their music, so it is fitting that their Chocolate Citymusic video also pays respect to the stomping grounds that has bred plenty of talent before them. The 5 member Hip-Hop Collective released Chocolate City as a part of their Summer Jelly 2: Harvest Season mixtape back in 2015, however the long awaited visuals for the track will be released early this summer. With its old school vibe, HBCU pride and pro-black message the video instantly connects with HBCU students and Alumni, especially those who’ve attended FAMU.
Who is Cap 6? Consisting of Rob Ohtis, Hakeem Furious, Crimson, Intricate, and Donny Blot this dynamic collective group of unique lyricist come together to provide an experience like none-other. Constantly integrating music with mathematics, logic, poetry and more Cap 6 is able to transcend their art-forms.
