The Battle of Liquid Lipsticks

One of the biggest beauty trends this year has been matte lips. Most people wearing matte lips use liquid lipsticks. This has encouraged different companies to make liquid lipsticks. With so many different companies competing for customers it only seems normal to wonder which matte 

The famous Kylie Jenner Lip Kits are currently the rage. The products are constantly sold out and are retailed at $29.00. The lip kit comes with a lip pencil and liquid lipstick. The range of colors vary from warm pinkish nudes to a vibrant red, orange, and purple. Kylie has expanded her products to include lip glosses and metallic glosses.

Colourpop mattes retail at $6.00 and they are definitely worth the hype. These lip products are cruelty free and vegan friendly. There are many different collections that offer a wide variety of colors ranging from soft nudes to vibrant reds and purples. What makes Colourpop stand out from their competition are the collabs that colourpop produces with bloggers and famous people. Colourpop mattes do fade and wear off throughout the day but the affordability is what attracts so many customers. 

NYX Soft Matte Lips retail at $5.99. These lip creams are super soft, the most affordable matte creams on the market and comfortable but I find they don't last very long especially if you’re eating and drinking. The applicator is a very soft and applies nicely, though it can be a bit difficult to use on the cupid's bow. The matte itself is not very drying but I always recommend wearing a lip balm under any matte lip for better application. 

Beauty Bakerie matte lip whips are some of the most amazing mattes I have ever tried. This product claims to stay on through eating and drinking which it does. This product does not come off until you want it too. In order to remove this product I recommend an oil based makeup remover otherwise it will be extremely difficult to remove. Since these mattes can be very drying I recommend wearing a lip balm under so it will help reduce the look of lines and cracking on your lips throughout the day.
