What You Will Need
- Brow Pomade.
- An Angled Brush.
- A Small Eyeliner Brush (usually found on your favorite liquid liner).
- A Beauty Blender.
- Brown Eyeshadow (not pictured).
Left to Right: Beauty Supply Beauty Blender ($5.99), NYX Tame & Frame Pomade in Expresso ($7.00), Studio Basics Angled Brush ($5.29), Cleaned Eyeliner applicator from NYX Matte Liquid Liner ($6.99) |
Step One: Base Freckles
After you are done with your normal face routine, take your angled brush, dip it in the brow pomade color of your choice and lightly dot your face. You have to remember that most freckles hit where the light and/or sun hits your face naturally. You can do all over face freckles but I would not recommend it for a first try. Beginners should start with the middle of the noses, under their eyes, and the high points of their cheeks. The light bases freckles should look something like this:
Step Two: Blotting and Adding the Defined Freckles
Once you finished step one, you want to take your Beauty Blender and softly blot the freckles you created. This will help them look more flat and natural looking. After that you want to take a small eyeliner brush and dip it in brow pomade. I personally take an eyeliner from one of my favorite liquid liners and clean it so I can use it for my freckle process. It helps the defined freckles get more precise and I can use it as long as I clean it. After you dip it in brow pomade you want to wet some brown eyeshadow, dip the eyeliner brush in, and dot your face. These will make the freckles super defined.
Step Three: Blot Again and Finishing Touches
So of course you want to blot again, just to make sure that the freckles don't look raised or unreal. If you want you can set with a powder. I take some time to add more freckles if needed and repeat the process. I also add in black moles in random places to make it more fun.
Your final results should look something like this:
Don't worry about if they are perfect! Natural freckles are usually never perfect circles or identical so the more fluid it looks the better! Have fun with it. I like to do freckles with more natural, fresh faced looks but they are stunning with a fun eye or a super cool lip. Looking at other people's freckles can help if you are really scared to go free hand.
I hope this helps, stay beautiful everyone.
